Philip Brennan (CEO)

Philip Brennan

Philip has 20 years of business development, marketing and sales management experience with Fortune 100 companies and entrepreneurial start-ups. He was the youngest recipient of Georgetown University's Graduate Fellowship for the Masters in Business Administration, entering the program at 22 years old. He has led and managed a variety of businesses, ranging from $220 million + to emerging start-ups. Over his career Phil has conceived, developed, and launched over 100 new products in the plastics, nutraceuticals, food and packaged goods industries, and has previously raised angel financing and prepared companies for the next stage of venture funding. He has held senior and executive management positions in operations, finance, manufacturing, sales and general management for companies Pfizer, Warner Lambert and Rubbermaid.

Michael B. Persichilli (VP Business Development & Strategic Relationships)

Michael B. Persichilli

Michael joined Echogen Power Systems in November 2009 to lead our Commercialization and Revenue Generation efforts. Michael has over 30 years experience in the Power Sector, has a number of patents related to renewable energy, and has demonstrated power plant operations, design and marketing experience ranging from hands-on Commissioning, Plant Operations Management, Design Engineering, Proposal and Product Development, and has held a number of executive positions over the last 15 years with various leading Power Equipment and Environmental Solution OEMs; including Director of Global Marketing for Babcock & Wilcox and Sr. Vice President Sales & Marketing for Babcock Power Inc., as well as COO for Babcock Power Sales Inc. and President of Babcock Power Sales International.

Timothy Held (VP Engineering)

Timothy Held

Timothy joined Echogen Power Systems in October 2008 as Vice President of Engineering, where he is responsible for technology maturation and transition to product. Dr. Held (Ph.D., Princeton University) was most recently the Manager of Commercial Engine Combustor Aero Design for GE Aviation, where he led the design effort for the GEnx TAPS low emissions combustor technology and product introduction. He previously managed the Industrial Aeroderivatives Combustor Aero Design group at GE, where he led the design of both conventional and Dry Low Emissions (DLE) combustors for the LMS100, which at 100+ MW, is the largest aeroderivative gas turbine in the world. He was also responsible for the design of dual-fuel DLE combustor development for the LM2500 and LM 6000 engines, and for the design of a 15ppm NOX combustion system for the LM6000, which was originally rated at 25ppm. He also served as the technical leader for alternate fuels research and evaluation at GE Aviation. In that function, he led the engine evaluation team for the first flight demonstration of a biofuel blend in a Virgin Atlantic 747. He presently holds 12 issued patents, with 12 additional patents in process.

Mark Terzola (COO)

Mark Terzola

Mark is the primary day to day operations leader for Echogen. He is involved in all aspects of the company’s development, including financing and leading the negotiation of key strategic and supply chain partner relationships. He works closely with Echogen’s Board, external stakeholders and manages all financial and legal functions of the company. He has been responsible for the recruitment and growth of the talented Echogen team and leads performance management to ensure the achievement of individual and company goals. Prior to coming to Echogen, Mark created and built the intellectual property group for a mid-sized national law firm and worked with a client base that included global multi-national, publicly traded companies and local technology start-ups in IP litigation, technology acquisition, divestiture and licensing and IP portfolio management.

Julie Maurer (VP Human Resources)

Julie joined Echogen in March of 2011 as the Vice President of Human Resources, where she is responsible for leading the recruitment, development and retention of top talent, as well as the performance management strategy, in support of Echogen’s organizational goals. She brings more than twelve years of progressive experience in Human Resources, Recruitment and Organizational Development spanning the manufacturing (both union and non-union), retail and professional services industries, as well as high growth environments. Julie’s work in the area of Talent Acquisition has been published in ERE’s Journal of Corporate Recruiting Leadership. She is a graduate of The University of Akron with a BSIM in Human Resources & Sales Management.
